To understand this situation we need to talk a little bit of mathematics. When I talk about mortality, I will speak of deaths due to either the regular or the swine flu. So, for example, if one country has 1 death for each 500 cases of flu, or 0.2%, and another country has 1 death for each 50 cases of flu, or 2%, the second country has more deaths from the flu (or, 10 times more).
